Me Time

I have 3 alteration projects to do this week...after those are complete...I will NOT be doing anymore alterations or custom pieces for others with the exception of baby blankies until further notice...why??? Cuz it's all about me, me, me..I need time to create my own fall/winter wardrobe..it'll be challenging but I'm up for the task :)

I've finally finished the baby blankie.It went alot smoother than pervious blankies I've done...I'm a beginner at making blankets, so I'm still learning.

"I made it" Wardrobe

It's a cool feeling when I'm wearing something & someone asks where I got it. "I made it" is a fun response..
My goal for this fall/winter is to create at least 4-5 pieces...tho theres tons I want to do. I must be realistic. I have to take into account my full time work schedule, projects for others, my awesome procrastination skills & my super laziness..lol

One of my favorite things to sew are baby blankies. I love babies, so a few years ago I started making blankies for my expecting relatives. They were an instant hit but because they were so time consuming I couldn't make them all the time..

Simpicity New Look 6126 (& box shorts)

Hey <3s! I love to be comfy...dont you??  So I've made me a cute robe & short set. I love the pattern for the kimono robe because I can make it from a variety of fabrics ti give it a different feel. I made the pattern for the shorts using my beginner pattern maker skills lol.

McCalls 6332

This is a cute romper that I decided to make out of lace and polka dots. This pattern called for non stretch fabric but I used stretch. For the top I only lined the busty area not the full piece as the pattern said. I completed the bottom just like the pattern, except I made the hem shorter. The zipper up the front makes this romper super cute and easy to wear. I will definitely be making more for next summer.

This is a easy cute little dress. I found the perfect fabric that inspired me to do a sundress. This dress has a zipper, gathered skirt, and pleats in the bodice. I altered the pattern a little to make the front a couple inches shorter than the back..Hi-lo!! This pattern was easy to adjust to my small boobie measurements, so that was a plus. I also like the pockets, the placement and the fabric make them seem invisible. I also made cute little matching hair bows

   This dress was pretty & easy, I'm sure I'll make more for next summer.
